We actually wanted The Contraband for our initial wedding date but they were unavailable. However, we found out the lads were available for our new date in 2021 and we booked them up straight away.
We heard good stuff about them, however, after having them at our wedding for our live band, the ‘good stuff’ we heard didn’t justify the live performance for the evening.
They got everyone up and dancing, made me look like a professional guitar player and made the Bride and Bridesmaids bring out their inner Amy Winehouse.
The Contraband are not just a band, they are entertainers and bring laughs and giggles to the Evening Do of a wedding (seeing and hearing two groups ‘shouting’ Hey Jude at each other is a LOL in itself).

We hired The Contraband for a combined birthday/anniversary party at the Beverley Barn. I always think the band can make or break a good party and these guys certainly MADE ours!! Absolutely fantastic - so much energy, so much fun, and so much dancing. They really got everyone young, old and all in between up and involved - utterly brilliant. I would definitely recommend them and will definitely be booking them again. 5 stars and a massive thank you from me

Wow, what an amazing band!
The front man Nick is fantastic and nothing is too much trouble.
We recently hired the Contraband to play at a Birthday party at the Double Tree Hilton in Hull and they were just brilliant. All of our guests have commented on just how good they are. I would have another party just to be able to hire them again and dance the night away!

We had these guys at our wedding on Saturday night and what a show they put on ! They made the whole place bounce !
